Primer balance tras temporal del 16 al 18 de diciembre
Se ha registrado una media de más de 150 litros por metro cuadrado desde el pasado viernes en el municipio Totana, siendo la zona de Sierra Espuña una de las más beneficiadas.
Los servicios de emergencia, Protección Civil y Policía Local han atendido desde el pasado sábado cerca de una veintena de avisos por problemas relacionados con la lluvia, sobre todo, por achiques de agua en viviendas de algunas calles y garajes del casco urbano, y explotaciones agrarias anegadas. José María Martínez Pascual es el jefe de protección civil Totana.
En líneas generales no se han producido daños materiales importantes en Totana a excepción de los producidos en infraestructuras y explotaciones agrícolas, en las zonas bajas, provocadas por el desagüe de las principales ramblas que atraviesan el municipio. Así nos lo cuenta el primer teniente de alcalde y concejal de caminos y agricultura Andrés García.
La Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET) ha confirmado que la mayor concentración de precipitaciones de la comunidad autónoma ha tenido lugar en Sierra Espuña, aunque los daños materiales más importantes provocados en la Región a consecuencia del temporal generalizado de lluvias del pasado fin de semana se ha centrado en las comarcas del Mar Menor y Campo de Cartagena.
Más de 300 litros por metro cuadrado han caído en algunas zonas del parque natural desde el viernes por la mañana hasta el lunes, aunque la media en el término municipal de Totana es superior a los 160 litros/metro cuadrado. Esta circunstancia ha provocado que salgan ramblas, torrentes, corrientes en riachuelos y ramblizos que hacía muchos años que no surgían.
Tras Sierra Espuña, la borrasca que ha barrido la Región ha descargado otras precipitaciones, con datos oficiales, en Cartagena (246 l/m2), San Javier (227 l/m2), Torre Pacheco (209 l/m2), Alhama (194 l/m2), Alcantarilla (192 l/m2), Murcia (180 l/m2), Bullas (160 l/m2), Fuente Álamo (160 l/m2) y el Altiplano (entre 100 y 150 l/m2). Según los cálculos de la AEMET, desde 1945 no se había producido un episodio de lluvias tan persistentes. El alcalde Juan José Cánovas dice que es el momento de hacer balance, además el pasado lunes no hubo clases como medida preventiva y excepcional.
